Registration fees required for buying and selling properties
Registration fee (Land and Building)
1. Upto Rs. 10,000:
Registration fee of Rs. 400 in municipality and Rs. 300 in VDC
2. Rs. 10,001- Rs. 25,000:
Registration fee of Rs. 1000 in municipality and Rs. 500 in VDC
3. From Rs. 25,001 onwards:
4% of total cost of property in municipality and 2% in VDC
4. Apartments:
1%of total cost of property inmunicipality as well as VDC
50%Concession on all units of an apartmentmore than 5 storey.
5. Building made in group housing:
2 % of total cost of property in municipality as well as VDC
Others
1. Additional 5% charge to Bagmati Savyata Kosh for properties
located inside Kathmandu Valley as well as adjoining VDCs.
2. 25% Concession in municipalities and 30% Concession in VDC
for properties with women ownership.
